3 Loaded Sandwich Combinations

LOVE ME A GOOD SANDWICH. Despite all of the other delicious-, complex-sounding items on a menu, a sandwich is usually my go-to order at any restaurant. Here are three pretty awesome sandwich combos that I love to make at home!

TURKEY GREEN APPLE SANDWICH

  • 2 slices of rye bread, toasted
  • mayonnaise
  • 3 slices of turkey
  • 4 slices of jarlsberg or cheddar cheese
  • 1 ciabatta bun
  • 1 green apple, thinly sliced (you won’t end up using the whole apple)
  • some lettuce

I purchased a similar sandwich at school one time and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

NOT YOUR REGULAR BREAKFAST SANDWICH SANDWICH

  • 2 slices of rye bread, toasted
  • mayonnaise
  • 2 hardboiled eggs, sliced
  • 4 slices of marble cheese
  • 3 slices of ham
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced (you won’t end up using the whole pepper)

You can also roll this up in a tortilla and add beans to it! And if you don’t like hardboiled eggs, you can definitely substitute them for your egg of choice!

LOADED TUNA SANDWICH

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 4 slices of marble cheese
  • 1 can of tuna
  • mayonnaise (for the tuna)
  • a pinch of salt (for the tuna)
  • a pinch of pepper (for the tuna)
  • some bell pepper, diced (to be mixed in with the tuna)
  • some onion, diced (to be mixed in with the tuna)
  • some celery, diced (to be mixed in with the tuna)

I usually don’t add onion or celery, but I have a few friends who do and they seem to love it!

To make these sandwiches even more tastier and crunchier, instead of toasting the bread separately, put the loaded sandwich in a sandwich press! I use a mini George Foreman.

Enjoy!
